You always know when Halloween is coming to Holiday Hollow. The nights grow longer. The lanterns come out. And the air turns crisp and sweet, like toffee cooling on a windowsill.
One by one, familiar faces begin to appear at the edge of the wood.
Some you’ll remember. Scully Skeleton is back – still a little afraid of the dark, still hoping someone leaves a light on. Jinx and Nox have padded home too, and if you look closely, they’ve each grown a brand-new tail since you saw them last.
And of course, there’s Willa the Switch Witch, who wouldn’t miss Halloween for the world.
Willa has always had a job to do. Once the children are tucked into bed and their bellies are full of sweets, she waits for the clock to strike midnight. Then, quiet as candlelight, she visits each doorstep, gathers up the candy left waiting there, and leaves a small gift in its place. A fair swap, she thinks. That’s simply what a Switch Witch does.
This year, though, Willa has company.

The Boo Bunch have arrived to join the fun.
There’s Miles Monster, cuddly and fuzzy, who loves a good roar (even when he frightens himself).
Lottie Lollipop, who loves candy so much her hair turned pink.
And her best friend Winnie Witch, the green-haired witch who loves giving candy out just as much (a perfect match, those two).
Jules Jack o’Lantern, happiest in the warm glow of the night.
And Wesley Werewolf, so full of energy you’d think trick-or-treating was invented just for him.
Scully Skeleton’s here too, keeping close to the lanterns.
And two new faces have found their way to the Hollow at last.
Willa the Dozy Witch
Our very first – fast asleep, as always.

Mabel Moon
A witch who spends all year watching over the Hollow, and lives for the one night she gets to dress up like a trick-or-treater too.

Because in Holiday Hollow, we don’t do frights.
We do twinkly lights, spooky delights, and just a little bit of magic.
